For as long as there have been human babies, people have devised ways to carry them and keep them close. Many carriers allowed parents to carry babies with them while they worked in their homes or fields. In times and places without carriages and cars, baby carriers help parents travel with their children. From Sacagawea carrying her son as she traveled with Lewis & Clark’s expedition through current days in places where carriages, cars and car seats are impractical, from a net bag balanced on the head with baby hanging down the back to modern carriers many have taken the form of woven cloth. In North America, these sorts of woven baby cloths have become increasing popular as new parents are rediscovering what so many around the world already know. Wraps are a safe, practical, beautiful and joyful way to keep your little one close as you go about your day!

This collection gives directions to weave 11 wraps as well as practical advice about their design and use.
